Last night the Utah Jazz were in town to play against the Dallas Mavericks, which mean they got their first glimpse of rookie Small Forward Luka Doncic. Doncic finished with 14 points, six rebounds, and dimes against the Jazz.

After game Jazz’s Center Rudy Gobert shared his thoughts on Luka’s game after seeing him up close for the first time:

” I think he is going to be very good. I like his game. Obviously, he is 19 years old, and it is hard to judge someone that age. When I was 19, I was in France not playing professionally. He is smart, he can shoot, and he understands the game. He is going to work on his body for sure and become a big-time player”, Gobert told me.

Donovan Mitchell shared with Fanatics View his thoughts on Luka Doncic game:

” I saw him in the championship game in Serbia this summer. He does a lot of things to create space and hits tough shots.  The one thing that impressed me the most was his vision I saw it watching, but to see some of the reads that he was making is very impressive at 19. I know last year I didn’t have half the reads he has now, so his poise and calm demeanor is definitely impressive,” said Mitchell.

Donovan Mitchell won the Slam Dunk contest last season during all-star weekend in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to ask him who he thoughts were the best active dunkers in the NBA?

Mitchell shared that he would like to see these dunkers in a slam dunk contest ” Dennis Smith Jr., Zach Lavine, DJ Stephen, and Derrick Jones Jr.”

The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Utah Jazz 104- 113 at home. The Mavs will be on the road Monday night to face the San Antonio Spurs and newly acquired Demar Derozan, who just dropped 30 point in a win against the Los Angeles Lakers.
