Streetwear Brand TACKMA Launches TACKMA Studio Capsule Collection

This fall, streetwear brand TACKMA (They All Can Kiss My Ass) is launching a luxury, unisex cut-and-sew capsule collection called TACKMA Studio. TACKMA founder Jeffrey Schottenstein brought on guest designer Gregory Abbou to lend his unique perspective to the elevated collection.  Founded in 2011, this is the first new design vertical in the TACKMA universe – created for those ready to usher in the next generation of the streetwear movement.

“I am thrilled to see how TACKMA Studio brings our brand’s messaging to a new audience,” says Schottenstein. “By working with a new design talent, my vision for the brand to uplift the wearer has been reimagined and reinvigorated through design.”

TACKMA Studio is an experiment in taking an outsider stance to current cultural norms and creating something next level.  Born out of Schottenstein’s desire to encourage people to challenge the status quo, the message behind TACKMA uplifts those facing adversity reinforcing that they can prevail, no matter the hand they were dealt.  Completely unisex designs are rooted in modern simplicity, as the brand’s design aesthetic shines rough with the use of clean lines, neutral color palette and tight graphics. The brand’s resilient energy can be seen in their signature lightning bolt logo, which has been updated for the TACKMA Studio collection; symbolizing a flash of light illuminating a path through the darkness.  The innovative pairing of these stylistic elements alongside fresh silhouettes and unexpected fabrics is what gives TACKMA Studio’s collection of outerwear, tees, sweatshirts and pants its elevated streetwear vibe. Made exclusively in Los Angeles, TACKMA Studio includes relaxed, super soft tees and long sleeve long-line shirts, pullover sweatshirts, hoodies, pants and luxe outerwear options. Bringing these fresh silhouettes to life is tonal branding, raw seams, graphic embroidery and innovative details like hidden cell phone pockets to enhance stylistic designs and multi-functional fits.  Each style is created with high-end fabrications such as 3-End French Terry, Supima Jersey and Ultra-Soft Modal Cotton and comes in a sleek, neutral color palette of ivory, ash brown, black and grey, accented by a muted clay pink.  The new collection retails from $170 – $525 for outerwear; $75 – $225 for shirts; $168 – $195 for sweatshirts and $170 – $220 for pants.

“The new TACKAMA Studio collection is all about self-confidence,” says Designer, Gregory Abbou.  “We wanted to incorporate pieces suited for all genders, something cool and different but not ostentatious. We did this through fabrics that are not only comfortable but transformative; that could be dressed up or down for almost any occasion. Creating and producing this collection in Los Angeles was a true point of inspiration and an opportunity to develop original dye techniques and refined craftsmanship.”

The TACKMA Studio capsule collection will be accompanied by monthly drops of reimagined core TACKMA styles of more casual streetwear including graphic t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and hats.

Fans of the TACKMA brand include Lebron James, Future, Swizz Beatz, Lewis Hamilton, Ruby Rose, Fabolous, DJ Alesso, Sam Hunt, Cam Newton and Chris Paul. The new TACKMA Studio collection will exclusively launch at www.tackma.com and at Urban Necessities, Las Vegas.
