vaz. – What Will Be

Ontario-based singer-songwriter vaz. releases emotional and reflective single “what will be.” Throughout the track, vaz. explores the difficulties of letting go of the past and moving forward through challenges, while still acknowledging that, “what will be will always be.” vaz. carries velvety vocals over a track that artfully fuses electronic instrumentals with a melodic, soulful R&B melody.

vaz. is originally from London, UK, but is now based in Brampton, ON, Canada, in the Greater Toronto Area. His career began when he caught the attention of BBC radio DJs in the UK with his EP Big Dreams Long Nights, released in 2013. While it didn’t rack up large streaming numbers, the EP found its way on regular rotation through the BBC radio networks, along with subsequent releases. However, he received online buzz in 2016 when he released a record titled Platform 6 featuring ex Roc Nation artist K Koke. It was released via LinkUpTV, a UK-based online music network, and amassed 120k+ views on Youtube.

In early 2017, his singles “Night + Day” and “Matter To Me’ were released and picked up by BBC Radio again, as well as iHeartRadio Canada, Reprezent FM, Radar Radio, and a variety of publications including Boi1da.net and The Plug Society.

Now, vaz. Is preparing to release a new EP in the early summer, called take your time. Three singles have already been released, including: “faded.” and “t-shirt.” All of these singles have received positive reviews from listeners and vaz. hopes that this project will bring his career to the next level.
