Rick & Sasha, A New Urban AC Voice for Your Morning Commute
Two of the most popular Urban AC on-air voices in the country have teamed up with the Westwood One Network to launch a new nationally syndicated weekday morning show. Rick Party, formerly of Hot 105-FM in Miami and Sasha The Diva, formerly of Kiss 104.1-FM have joined forces to create the Rick and Sasha show airing Monday – Friday from 6AM – 10AM (EST) in various cities across the country.
It all started with one phone call. Living states apart from each other, Sasha reached out to Rick with an opportunity to partner with her and create something new and fresh that they both would be passionate about. Using modern technology and without leaving the comfort of their own cities, they were able to create a demo that would end up landing them the deal of a lifetime.
“My friend Gary Bernstein, who helped launched the Rickey Smiley Morning Show back in the day was coming into town,” says Rick Party. “My wife and I went out to dinner with him and he just so happened to ask me what I had been up to. I said ‘funny you should ask. I hooked up with Sasha the Diva to make a demo and now we are trying to pursue national syndication.’ Then Gary said ‘let me listen to it.’ After listening to it, Gary was blown away and said the magic words ‘I think we got something here.'”
Never having had the opportunity to meet Sasha previous to hearing the demo, Gary flew to Atlanta to meet her and the rest is Rick and Sasha show history.
The Rick and Sasha show will cover trending topics, the latest in news, what’s going on in the community, and will feature the hottest music and entertainment from two real people sharing their lives with listeners every morning. The show will also feature popular comedian Schuler King.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity! It’s been our life long dream to have a syndicated platform that allows us to inspire, inform, educate, entertain and bring ‘Real People, Real Radio.’ We look forward to connecting, engaging, and entertaining listeners across the US,” says Rick and Sasha.Tweet
