Wu-Tang Clan Brings the Heat to the Sundance Film Festival

The Sundance Festival kicked off last month with high energy. The festival is held in Utah and each year over 100 films are screened. Even though it is a film festival, venues around town routinely host musical performances while the festival is on, and this year legendary musical group Wu-Tang Clan hit the stage! And who doesn’t love watching amazing movies and hearing dope music from legends in the music industry while drinking a hot chocolate?

On January 29th, the iconic rap group Wu-Tang Clan performed in support of their new film, Of Mics and Men, which documents the group’s journey from humble beginnings to iconic status. Formed in the early ’90s in Staten Island, the Wu-Tang have been topping the charts with hits like, “C.R.E.A.M, “Protect Ya Neck”, “Triumph”, and “Method Man” for nearly 30 years. The Clan’s performance took place at Bartender Recharge, a party which serves as a thank you to the bartenders of Utah. The concert, which was sponsored by the Fly Lounge Powered by Airthereum.

The whole evening was an ultimate smash! A big shout out goes to CBD makers Ojai Energetics. In addition to the Wu-Tang Clan performing, the Michelin starred chef, Tony Esnault, cooked up some delicious treats. He created an amazing CBD infused beet salad and CBD-infused mango vanilla coconut desserts. When Wu-Tang took the stage, everyone knew it would be a night to remember. They came on late in the evening and completely blew the lid off on a party that was already amazing. There were people in the crowd rapping the lyrics passionately. Almost instantaneously, the party became a concert – a musical oasis from the frigid cold. The only thing that could have made it better was a cup of hot chocolate.
