JP Ruggieri Discovers “The Meaning” with New Music Video

Nashville artist JP Ruggieri is introducing music lovers to an indescribable new style of music.  A groove that makes you think “island music”, vocals reminiscent of indie-folk, and a general acoustic disposition comparable to pop records, Ruggieri unabashadley creates his own fusion of a genre. Recently releasing his album, Waiting on You, while on a UK tour alongside Jarrod Dickenson, Ruggieri is providing a deeper look into his album with the release of a music video for his lead single “The Meaning”.

“The Meaning” accurately depicts the unique styling, groovy guitar riffs, and sultry smooth vocals that Ruggieri has garnered praise for.  With summer quickly approaching, this track gives listeners an “island vibe”… perfect for jamming out to on long roadtrips and hot summer days. The single showcases the beautifully produced sound and acoustic arrangement that is the essence of Ruggieri’s distinctive music.

The music video for “The Meaning” was filmed by Jesse Perry, an actor/writer/filmmaker based in Nashville.  The video follows an artist (Erinn McPeak) from start to finish as she works through the visual representation of the song. Perry claims that “this was an easy shoot, thanks to Jon-Paul, who had a distinct vision for the video. Erinn nailed the drawings in a single take, and the end result is hopefully as compelling and hypnotic as the song itself.”

Waiting on You is a concise and stunning record, packed with more unique songwriting, tight grooves, and the kind of tasteful musicianship that is represented in this single. The album was produced by Chris Jacobie (Penny & Sparrow) and gives fans a glimpse of the masterful productions that are to come from the young singer-songwriter who has been honing his craft for the past decade.
