Great Good Fine Ok & Pell – Terrified

Brooklyn-based synth-pop duo, Great Good Fine Ok, have a knack for penning incomparable catchy jams. As anticipation grows for the release of their upcoming EP, the guys have dropped another earworm single for fans to enjoy. Joined by Pell, the ever-evolving New Orleans raised rapper on the rise, the silky smooth single “Terrified” dropped this month via Ultra Music. The song masterfully blends a myriad of influences, weaving an undeniable musical tapestry of synth-pop, funk, and hip-hop. Fans will get to experience the new track live during Great Good Fine Ok’s upcoming US headline tour, kicking off May 31st with alt-pop opener Vesperteen. Listen to the bop on the streaming service of your choice, here: https://ffm.to/terrified.opr.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, singer Jon Sandler shared, “People make decisions based on either love or fear. ‘Terrified’ is about acknowledging and overcoming that fear. I think everyone can relate to being in a relationship that freaks them out in some way, and this is a tribute to that commonality.” He added, “Some of our songs come together quickly, and others take a while to reach their full potential. ‘Terrified’ falls under the latter. We started it in 2017 on a writing trip in the Catskills Mountains (where we also wrote “Change”). Over the course of the next 2 years we slowly refined the writing and production. We recorded a full horn section in LA, wrote a new chorus with Bryce Vine in NYC, and added Pell, who wrote an amazing rap and whose voice set the perfect tone. Stylistically it turned into something very different for GGFO. It was a labor of love and we couldn’t be happier to finally share it!”
