Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Nyk Rivera began his singing endeavors at a very young age. Since both of his parents were pastors, he became very involved in singing in the church all throughout elementary and middle school, where he focused more on a classical training approach. It wasn’t until high school that NYK discovered his passion for mainstream music, looking to artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, and Frank Ocean for not only their musical abilities but also their fashion tastes and luxury style. NYK is a multi-faceted artist with a passion for acting and writing as well. The artist graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where he studied as an acting major.
