K Camp Releases Much Anticipated Album “Wayy 2 Kritical” ft. Young Dolph, Marlo, True Story Gee

K Camp follows up the release of his 2018 project “RARE Sound” with the release of his full-length project “Wayy 2 Kritical” [RARE Sound/ Interscope/EMPIRE]. Executive produced by his longtime friend and producer Bobby Kritical, this project mainly highlights Camp’s songwriting and sonic abilities. During an interview with BReal.TV yesterday on Dash Radio, the host EZONE made a very important point. He said it’s important for artists to maintain these longstanding relationships with certain producers that they vibe with because that chemistry is important in creating songs that transcend different barriers. The goal of this project was to achieve that, hence the minimal features which includes Young Dolph, Marlo, and Camp’s artist True Story Gee.

K Camp teased fans yesterday with the release of the music video for the lead single “Lottery.” Directed by Matthew Daniel Siskin [Beyoncé, The Row], and choreographer Oth’than Burnside [Rihanna, Justin Timberlake] helped deliver the high energy within the video. And as we head into BET Weekend, where K Camp will be playing in the Celebrity 3 on 3 Basketball Game, the “Lottery” visual will definitely help set the vibe.

With 1.7 million streams on Spotify in the past month and over 3 million streams on Apple Music for “Lottery,” Camp shows a strong resurgence that the fans have reacted positively for. Currently there’s been over 1500 videos submitted by fans on Triller (1.5 million combined views) of fans, including Chance The Rapper, submitting dance videos to the single under the hashtag #LotteryChallenge.

Since releasing at midnight, Fans have been reacting positively to the project. There’s thousands upon thousands of Tweets of Fans showing their support, with some of the feedback being received is that Camp is too slept on, and that they can’t stop playing this project. This has translated over to platforms like Spotify, who placed “Lottery” and “Slow Down” ft. Young Dolph in the editorial playlists Get Turnt and The Realest Down South today. Apple Music placed “Lottery” in The Plug editorial playlist today, and you can hear Camp on Travis Mills’ Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music next week.

Camp will show no signs of slowing down the rest of this year as he has his foot on the gas. We have visual content off of this project rolling out through the next month and a special surprise remix, which you’ll want to keep an eye on.
