Stephen A .Smith Debunks Space Jam 2 Speculation

Three-time Finals MVP LeBron James is gearing up to star in Space Jam 2, which is the sequel of 1996 Space Jam starring Charlotte Hornets Owner and Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. The sequel will feature both NBA and WNBA Superstars Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike.
On Wednesday episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith shared that he has been working on a movie in Hollywood. He did not mention the title of the film, but he left enough of a hint that peoples’ minds began to wonder if he was talking about Space Jam 2, that will be released sometime in 2021.

However, Smith would take to Twitter later on in the day, to set the record straight tweeting, “No folks. I was not alluding to Space Jam 2 this morning on FirstTake.”
There’s no way anyone in charge would allow King James and I to be on the set together. Too much tension. That would be as bad as us on-camera together talking Ball. Wouldn’t want to make anyone nervous😉

Someone that did confirm that he would be apart of the film is Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, the host of the Scoop B Radio Podcast. Robinson Tweeted out that he was excited to be in Space Jam 2.

Robinson via email also added:
Space Jam 2 is THE BOMB! Can’t wait to get started. Thanks, LeBron James and Maverick Carter!
Robinson also reported last June, that he was told by a source LeBron James, was supposed to utilize Instagram TV to launch a trailer for Space Jam 2.
After he made his announcement of which team he would be signing with this past offseason, as we know now he decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers. Per Robinson, that original plan was scrapped as a result of his initial report. Instead, James would announce that he would be signing with the Lakers through a press release through Klutch Sports Group Twitter page.
