Few things ought to remind you of the summertime like passing time in the water during a relaxing family vacation. In fact, studies show that children who are strong swimmers are healthier and also gain social and motor skills that can be applied to all areas and facets of their lives.

Jordin Sparks — not only an award-winning singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and actress but also a mother — has said that summer family vacations are essential to stay grounded in the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.
