The Oddysy Drops Insightful Visuals for New Social Injustice Single ‘Bang Bang’ Feat. Chuck D

Gun violence, political warfare, and threats to hard-earned civil rights are just a few of the themes covered in THE ODDYSY‘s latest music video BANG BANG. The video features CHUCK D of Public Enemy spitting knowledge as a talking head in a dystopian future… or is it present?

Directed by Ato Essandoh (Chicago Med, The Code), BANG BANG is a battlecry to end mass shootings and systemic racism permeating society. “This video was a fantastic collaboration of artists endeavoring to make something poignant and meaningful,” says Essandoh.

“The issue of civil rights today exists on a knife’s edge. I get the feeling a strong breeze could push it over into a chasm of burning cities and marshal law,” warns The Royal KJ, lead singer and bassist extraordinaire. It’s this dire possibility that inspired KJ and Rock N Roll Hall of Famer Johnny “Juice” Rosado to get involved in fundraising: the genre-bending duo are currently raising money for Voices Of Community Activists & Leaders (VOCAL-NY) at their first benefit concert co-billed with hiphop legends Leaders Of The New School.
