Carson Lueders: New Chapter

Tell me your whole inception into music — When did you first become interested in it? And, how did it all begin for Carson Lueders?

I began to fall in love with music around the age of 5 years old. My parents got me my first guitar for my 5th birthday. I listened to country music and absolutely loved Keith Urban’s music. I developed my skill with not only the guitar, but singing as well. It was not much longer after that before I started singing full songs and covers and released them on the internet. As I grew up and started maturing, I started really liking Pop music. After releasing more videos, we saw a fan-base growing; people all across the world were watching my videos. When I was 10 years old, I recorded my first original song in L.A.; I made more and more music…

Now you’re a native of Spokane, Washington, correct? So growing up in ‘Lilac City,’ who all did / do you consider to be your strongest musical influences?

My strongest musical inspirations included Keith Urban, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes and Post Malone.

At what particular point in time did you opt to pursue music on a professional level?

I think I starting thinking about it on a professional level around the age of 11, when I created my first single “Get To Know You Girl.”

That being said, how do you classify your sound and / or style?

I would say that my musical sound consists of Pop / Rhythmic with an Urban flair.

What particular string of events actually led to your current signing to Mosley Music Group / Def Jam Records?

After releasing a lot of music, I got noticed by several labels…then decided to sign with Def Jam / Mosley Music Group.

Your latest single is entitled “No Caption,” and it was produced by the legendary Timbaland —Tell me about this track specifically; how did it even come to fruition?

When Timbaland and I got together in the studio, everything came naturally. We started by vibin’ out to some sounds that we were feeling. “No Caption” was the perfect direction we were heading in. Not always captioning a photo or video on social media. Living in the moment, and not explaining everything.

“No Caption” comes courtesy of your still forthcoming official solo debut — That said, what all specific details; i.e. title, favorite selection(s), producer(s) credit(s), cameo appearance(s), etcetera, can you reveal and / or divulge about upcoming said set at this particular point in time?

“No Caption” was produced by Timbaland, written by Lunch Money Lewis, Kaydence and I. We have much more music on the way. Whole project coming very SOON!

How much actual input / involvement does Tim have when it comes to the overall hands on experience with you and your new music?

Working with Timbaland has been absolutely unreal. Whenever we work together, we create something better and better. I feel beyond blessed to be working with such a legendary guy, because this music is so different and new from what I’ve ever done before.

What do you feel you bring to the music industry that we don’t already have in other performers?

I bring a fresh new look and sound. My music is not one genre, it touches all formats in my opinion; Pop, Rhythmic, Urban and Country.

Have you encountered any problems in getting to this point in your career?

Nothing ever comes easy; it took a lot of sacrifice and ups and downs to get where I am today. I could have never done it without my team.

What do you want people to get from your music?

I want people to enjoy the music in their own way. The biggest satisfaction that I get is making people happy. The best way I can do that is through my music.

If you could collaborate with any one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Dream collab would definitely be Chris Brown, Post Malone or (the late) Juice Wrld.

If you could play any venue in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Madison Square Garden or Coachella has always been a dream for me to perform at.

One track (of yours) that you think defines you and why?

“No Guidance” by Chris Brown and Drake!

In terms of longevity, what do you feel it is that will continue to sustain you in this grueling industry?

I think the music will sustain itself. How I grow and change as an artist is the most important.

Do you have any other outside / additional aspirations, maybe even completely away from music?

Of course! I love to be outdoors, play sports, race motocross and enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.

To date, what has been your biggest career moment, at least thus far anyway?

I would say signing to Def Jam, releasing incredible music, and getting nominated for multiple award shows!

Looking ahead, say five or maybe even ten years from now, where do you see yourself?

In five to ten years, I would love to see myself creating more music, and hopefully traveling the world on a world tour.

As for the immediate, what’s next for you, Carson?

Right now I want to focus on releasing the best music that I’ve ever created, which is most important to me. I love the style, sound and feeling. I think this is a new chapter for me, and I can not wait to see where it takes me.

Any “closing” thought(s) for our readers?

I am beyond excited to release all of my music…it is a new chapter, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!
