Chuuwee & Trizz Drop Woozy New Cut “3.5”

Joining forces over 5 years ago, rappers Chuuwee & Trizz first drop their new single “3.5”.

Filled with stuttering synth patterns and pounding drum kicks, “3.5” is a slick sonic cut from the rising rap duo. With nods to rap royalty including the likes of Jay Z and Nas, Sacramento based Chuuwee also cites the socially conscious rap stylings of East Coast duo Gang Starr as a major influence in his work. Their eclectic blend of New York jazz and hip hop blends effortlessly into the pairs work, pulling threads from their array of influences to create a rich tapestry of their own.

“After wrapping up the AMB album series, we knew we couldn’t just stop what we had going” they explain. “So Chuuwee thought it’d be dope if we came with something new and that’s when he brought the title “3.5 (Eighth)” which is how many grams are in an eighth of weed. It was perfect”.

With an incalculable number of mixtapes, EPs, albums and solo projects under their belts, the pair have also worked with the likes of Large Professor, Del The Funky Homosapien, G Perico, Rob $tone and Rittz, turning heads with their outlandish and distinctive style.

With their album 3.5 (Eighth) set for imminent release, “3.5” demonstrates a duo set to take the industry by storm. Tune in below.
