Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb is giving back to the community by sponsoring a night of coronavirus relief efforts at St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) for Arizona families in need.
McNabb’s generosity makes possible $800 of pizza, 70 Walmart gift cards, and 200 activity kits for children — all of which will be served to-go by SVdP staff via the nonprofit’s Family Dining Room drive-thru. McNabb, who is practicing responsible social distancing for the safety of the
families served by SVdP, will not be there in-person but is available for interviews via Skype or video call.“We can’t thank Donovan McNabb enough for how he’s helping the families we serve during this difficult time,” Executive Director Steve Zabilski said.
“We’re seeing so many more families turn to us for help right now, so his compassion and support couldn’t have come at a better time. That’s especially the case as we look to spread kindness throughout our community, and Donovan’s generosity is a great example of that.” SVdP is currently calling on the community to be #AllinThisTogether to #MakeKindnessViral with the nonprofit, which has entirely pivoted its service model in response to COVID-19.
