NBA Legend, Entrepreneur & DJ Baron Davis On His Virtual Panels, Investing, Future Plans & More

Simply put, Baron Davis has found success in multiple fields. Within basketball, he was a multi-time NBA All-Star after stand-out high school and college careers. As a broadcaster, he has been a regular on TNT. As an actor, he has been part of the Screen Actors Guild for over 15 years. As an investor and entrepreneur, he was one of the original investors for Vitaminwater and helped launch Thrive Market.

These days, Baron Davis has plenty of high-profile ventures. He is the founder of multiple companies, including Baron Davis Entreprises, Sports & Lifestyle In Culture (SLIC), The Black Santa Company, Business Inside The Game (B.I.G.), and No Label. Baron Davis Enterprises and Business Inside The Game have been working together to create change for the next generation through a series of online-based conversations. B.I.G. has been curating thought-provoking conversations around innovation, diversity and entrepreneurship for years, with Davis often serving as moderator. This first conversation is the latest series presented by B.I.G. was “Put Money Where Your Mouth Is: Investing in the Future of Minority Entrepreneurs,” which hit all major social media networks on June 8, 2020.

Coming up next is “Education: Each One Teach One: A Discussion With Teachers, Philanthropists & Community Leaders On The Future of EdTech,” which will be airing first on June 22nd at 6:30 PM EST. One week later on June 29th, “Where Is Our Hollywood: Exploring How People Of Color Are Portrayed In Media & How To Break Barriers To Tell Our Stories” goes live. Both of these panels will stream on B.I.G.’s LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch channels.

On June 16, 2020, I had the pleasure of speaking with Baron Davis via Zoom — as embedded below — about his upcoming virtual panel events, finding success outside of basketball in other fields, upcoming plans and plenty more.
