0Falset’s Chance LaBrie On The Band’s New “Give” Single, Future Plans, Canada, Drumming & More
Comprised of singer Zach Copeland, drummer Chance LaBrie, guitarist Braeden Kozy and bassist Riley Fields, Falset is an Ontario, Canada-based metal band. Its debut album We Follow Or Lead The Way is due out October 16th, 2020. Said full-length was produced by Zach Copeland and mixed by Nolly Getgood (Periphery, Devin Townsend), and stylistically it combines metalcore, modern rock, djent, and prog elements. You can ultimately expect heavy-hitting breakdowns, soaring melodic vocals, and virtuosic guitar solos alike; the music video for “Give” from We Follow Or Lead The Way is exemplary of all those aforementioned musical elements and embedded below for your viewing pleasure.
On August 14, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing Falset drummer Chance LaBrie via Zoom, also as embedded below. We began our chat talking about Falset’s forthcoming album and then dove into influences, how the rising group came together, and the big differences between metal in the States and in Canada. A pleasant, funny, informed and well-traveled guy, to say the very least, folks.
