In the times of social unrest and injustice for black people, Jonathan Lykes gives us a powerful song and moving video to embrace our beautiful black skin with the release of “I Love Being Black”. “I Love Being Black” is a magnificent ode to showing just how amazing it is to be black and embracing every part of it.
Jonathan Lykes is an artist, activist, entrepreneur, and academic. His interdisciplinary approach to art, activism and anti-oppression work, merges policy change, artistic expression and activism. Combining these forms of social transformation and harnessing their synergy, Jonathan works to create awareness, promote personal healing, surmount institutional barriers and generate systemic change. Jonathan is the founder and executive director of LiberationHouse.org and founding member of Black Youth Project 100 (BYP100.org).
