@yaboiimikenice

MikeNice is a rising independent artist coming out of the Bronx, NY, whose unique blend of hip hop and Afrobeats is beginning to make waves. Drawing on his family’s Ghanaian roots and the ups and downs of growing up in the Bronx, MikeNice presents listeners with a captivating hybrid of the American rap and African-Music genres that is equal parts foreign, familiar, and fun. Drawing on inspiration and studying the business practices of American artists like Michael Jackson and Kanye West,  as well as Ghanaian artists like Shatta Wale, MikeNice began honing in on his sound in 2017. The idea for the song “Pepper Dem” came through what he likes to call the “Spiritual Vibe”. That when he listens to the beat and the words and flow start coming to him.  Right when he heard the beat he immediately thought about the spice and sauce that the beat brought so automatically the title “Pepper Dem” came to mind. As he progressed with the song he felt it needed the extra flavor so he reached out to one of Ghana’s current trending Artist and it was a banger from there.  Right now MikeNice is currently working on his first mixtape. It’s going to be a blend of vibes from Afro-Hip Hop To Afro-R&B. He’s hoping to really deliver the AfroFusion energy and lay down the foundation for himself and his brand.

@official_poppy_morg_187

Poppy Morg is a talented emcee with a classic feel born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Since his first release in 2012, DTG, Poppy has been making a name for himself with a steady stream of well-received singles and projects. With his raspy vocals and golden-era bars over soulful production, Poppy Morg always comes with a classic New York vibe. He stands out by being unafraid to address real issues in the community such as women’s empowerment, HIV awareness, and justice reform. One of the highlights so far in Poppy’s career was in 2017 when he got the chance to open up for legendary New York emcee, Joell Ortiz. The response from the crowd and from Ortiz himself cemented that he was on the right path and provided additional motivation to keep pushing. Poppy’s latest project, Farewell, that dropped in July is the perfect introduction for new listeners. The project features his signature calm flow, distinct voice, and a wealth of nostalgic production and soulful samples that’ll have you reminiscing on the good old days with tracks like “Sandbox Bros” and “Hold it Down.”  Along with the project comes the visual for the standout track “Don’t Let Them Tell You No,” featuring Poppy Morg on the infamous White Plains Road delivering motivating lyrics aimed at empowering women to reach their fullest potential. Poppy Morg is a refreshing, thought-provoking voice in today’s music landscape, and definitely one to keep an eye on.
