Meet Chozyn 3

First things first, please introduce for me the members of Chozyn 3…

Noelle: “Noelle Bellinghausen, Cabria Anderson and Danielle Daniel.”

Let’s hop right into this latest single, “Baecation” — Tell me about this particular track? How did it come to fruition?

Noelle: “I was signed to an independent label years back, and the majority of my album was produced by Dem Jointz. So I reached out to him after telling him I was in a girl group and asked him if he could send me some tracks. He sent me 5 and we wrote to 4. Starchild Yeezo was instrumental in getting our hook together because the hook we wrote we didn’t like. Starchild Yeezo, just like Dem Jointz, is one of the top producers and songwriters to work with. His gift is taking whatever idea you have – either melodically or lyrically – to the next level.”

Cabria: “We wanted to give people an escape during the pandemic. Many of us would love to get away on a “baecation” with that special someone.

Danielle: “This track came to fruition because during this pandemic we all want to “getaway.” We came together to creatively take our listeners / viewers on a Fantasy they’ll want to repeat again and again.”

“Baecation” comes courtesy of y’all’s “official” debut album — What all specific details; i.e. title, favorite tracks, producer credits, cameo appearances, etcetera, can you all reveal and / or divulge about upcoming premiere set at this particular point in time?

Noelle: “Baecation” is our 3rd single, and we will continue to release singles as we feel the timing is right. We can tell you that Starchild Yeezo executive produced 11 of our songs, with Dem Jointz and Sam Zeines lending us their power-house production.

Tell me your whole inception into music? When did y’all first become interested? And how did it actually all begin for Chozyn 3?

Noelle: “I’ve been singing my whole life; I’ve been signed independently twice, but those 2 labels folded. As an actress, I’ve booked some pretty cool roles on primetime TV. So with all of that going on – mixed with Cabria’s background and Danielle’s talents – it made sense for us to join together.”

Cabria: “I’ve been singing since I was a little girl in the children’s choir. I was signed to an indie label at one point as well. We were supposed to do a couple of songs featuring each other, but decided being in a group could actually work.”

Danielle: “I was introduced to music at a young age. My uncle is Bobby Rogers of the Miracles. I’ve known since I was young I wanted to be an entertainer. Our first single “Pat That Kat” brought us together because it allowed us to bring together comedy and music. “

Now where do y’all hail from? And growing up there, who all did / do you all consider to be your strongest musical influences?

Noelle: “I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and raised in Las Vegas. My musical influences are all of the girl groups that I grew up listening to; from Sister Sledge SWV, Total, 702, Brownstone and TLC. And, Destiny’s Child. I can name at least 10 other girl groups!”

Cabria: “My strongest musical influences include gospel music, Helen Ainsley – my choir director and vocal coach growing up – and India Arie.”

Danielle: “I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in Motown, I listened to a lot of soul music. Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Anita Baker, just to name a few.”

At what particular point in time did y’all consider this to be y’all’s career path?

Noelle: “I knew that I was going to be an entertainer since I started talking. My mom said I sang all the time.

Cabria: “Once I decided to go all in and take some of the biggest risk I’ve ever taken in my life to follow my dreams, I knew (that) music had to be a part of my destiny.”

Danielle: “I’ve had a calling in my spirit to entertain since I was a child, and I continue to stay open to new adventures. When the opportunity arrived to be Chozyn 3, I knew it was meant to be. “

Where does the moniker Chozyn 3 originally derive from?

Cabria: “We were chosen to make a major impact on the world!”

Noelle: “I’ve always loved the name Chozyn spelled that way, so adding a 3 to it gave it a specific meaning and future.”

With that being said, how do you all classify your overall sound and / or style?

Cabria: “We have an eclectic sound, and we are lyrically diverse.”

Danielle: “We are a diverse and out of the box female group, because we all bring something different to the table…which creates a unique and dope style. We have so much to offer, and we plan on unleashing consistent bangers you can vibe out to.”

Noelle: “We sing and we rap, so we have heard the TLC comparison which is an honor in my opinion. We love the mix of R&B and Hip Hop; so you can expect multiple vibes from us.”

What individual role(s) – both personality wise and stylistically – do y’all play when it comes to the group’s overall dynamic?

Cabria: “Danielle is the most calm and fluid. Noelle is down to business and a visionary. Cabria is playful and innovative.”

Noelle: “I actually love Cabria’s breakdown of us! She’s right.”

Switching gears here, what exactly do you all want people to get from your music?

Cabria: “We want people to get encouragement; encouragement to be a better person, encouragement to leave that toxic relationship. Encouragement to stay and give it another chance. Encouragement to stay the course, despite the difficulties you face, etcetera.”

Danielle: “We want our music to feel good and lift your spirits. There is a message in all of our records, and that’s our intention. To deliver a great vibe and spark dialogue.”

Noelle: “Authenticity. We pride ourselves in being true to ourselves through our music.

If you all could collaborate with any one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Cabria: “Dead – Aaliyah, Michael Jackson and 2-Pac. Alive – J Cole, Doja Cat, TLC. All of them are very unique artists who could drop some rare and useful jewels on.”

Danielle: “Aaliyah. Everything about her was inspiring to me. How hard she worked. Her belief in education, and her versatility.”

Noelle: Pharrell, Solange and Big Sean. Really too many to name, but those are my top 3 right now.

If you all could play any venue in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Cabria: “Coachella”

Noelle: “The Super Bowl!!! I mean, that right there is a turn up I would never forget!!!!

In terms of longevity, what do you all feel it is that will continue to sustain you in this grueling industry?

Cabria: “Our diversity.”

Danielle: “It’s going to take hard work, dedication and consistently believing in ourselves.”

Noelle: “I’ve been doing this for many years in different aspects; from being a solo artist to songwriting for someone else. The key is not to stop and be consistent. You gotta keep the momentum going, but you also have to know how to make the business work for you. If it’s your dream and your vision, let no one dictate, distract or take it from you.

Do you all have any other outside / additional future aspirations, maybe even completely away from entertainment?

Cabria: “I’d love to have a nonprofit for women, an interior decorating business and natural hair product line”

Danielle: “I am a spoken word artist as well. I plan on releasing a book of poetry and also inspirational journals.”

Noelle: “I want a lead role in a comedy or action hero film. I want to create black martial art projects, and more film projects with taller women in leading roles. I want to help build housing for those who need it most.

To date, what has been your biggest career moment(s), at least thus far anyway?

Cabria: “Being featured in (The) HYPE Magazine, being Amazon’s and Pandora’s Top 10 pick listing on their breakthrough R&B playlists.”

Noelle: “Being on Black-ish and House. Producing, writing and editing my short film, Taking Over, that you can find on IMDB. Having a song with Pitbull back in the day called “Like That,” which charted Top 100 without a deal or music video.”

Looking ahead, say five or maybe even ten years from now, where do you all see yourselves?

Cabria: “We see ourselves as Grammy and Oscar Award winners who are able to have a huge impact on the world, our family and friends.”

Danielle: “I see us successfully crossed over as a household name, and people around the world touched by our music and message.”

Noelle: “I see every individual dream coming true for us where we are all to make money off of doing what we love, and helping others who need it most.”

As for the immediate, what’s next for Chozyn 3?

Cabria: “More music, more videos, more grind…consistency.”

Danielle: “We are working on a couple projects, and are excited to release another single before the end of the year.”

Noelle: “Whatever it is, it will be FIRE!”

Is there anything I left out or just plain forgot to mention?

Noelle: “Cabria and Danielle have their own company, Bestie Entertainment, which is them doing comedic skits. They have 105,000 followers on Facebook, and over 14 million views. They are hilarious! I’m an actress with lots of credits in TV and film; such as Criminal Minds, Rules of Engagement and Blac-ish, to name a few. I’ve had song placements in movies like Why Did I Get Married? and Employee of the Month. I also am a black belt in Taekwondo.”

Any “closing” thought(s) for our readers?

Cabria: “Keep striving for your dreams no matter what. Face your fears!”

Danielle: “There’s no expiration on your Dreams and Goals. Live your life with purpose, and focus on being the best version of yourself daily. It starts by searching within.”

Noelle: “Don’t give up, stay prayed up, fight for the things you want and keep an open mind. The more open you are to opportunities, the more they will flow into your life!”
