Southern Rock Band Stone Senate Cast a Modern Crusade For Love

“Medicine will conquer all”, a heart wrenching authentic line from Stone Senate’s second incredible single Slow Crusade. From the first note, a strong Metallica “Nothing Else Matters” vibe is established with the perfectly constructed intimate melody and a harmonious blend of beautiful darkness found within the lyrics. With every line, the band takes listeners on a slow and real expedition toward healing. Finding distractions among menial things such as “fixing the pictures on the wall”, the band acknowledges that we all must eventually come to face our own unavoidable truths. Lead singer and songwriter Clint Woolsey shares insight on the message saying, “This is about going out of your mind and doing all you can to stop, or at least slow, the painful process of loss. Climbing walls, staying stoned, and fixing pictures on your walls to pass the time a little more. “It’s a slow crusade against myself” because you keep replaying the failed relationship in your head even though you would give anything just to forget it and make the pain go away.”
