Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Releases “Stop Asian Hate” Charity Tee Benefiting Stop AAPI Hate

Steve Aoki’s fashion label, Dim Mak (@dimmakcollection), has partnered with abstract pop artist, Pretty Done @prettydone, to  drop a limited release “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt capsule on March 27th, 2021 to benefit the AAPI community. Designed with spreading awareness and bringing communities together in mind, Dim Mak will be donating proceeds from the capsule to Stop AAPI Hate, a coalition addressing anti-Asian hate amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Stop Asian Hate. I am a proud Asian American and it breaks my heart to witness the prejudice and violence directed toward the AAPI community. I can’t help but think of my family, brothers, and sisters living in fear for their safety. I am who I am today because of the courageous Asian Americans who broke down barriers and paved the way for people like me. People like my father, Rocky Aoki, who rose to fame as a wrestler and then as the founder of Benihana. Icons like Bruce Lee, a philosopher, fighter, and rebel. Women like human rights activist Yuri Kochiyama who fought tirelessly for the empowerment of all people alongside Malcom X remains one of my biggest influences. There is so much we can learn from one another. We should love one another and focus on what brings us together instead of focusing on what divides us. We are all a part of the same community. Let’s spread love, not hate.” – Steve Aoki

Screen printed with love in Los Angeles, the Dim Mak “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt capsule features effervescent and youthful artwork by Pretty Done, the Las Vegas-based abstract freestyle pop artist. Pretty Done is known for his large scale murals featuring a cacophony of fun-loving characters, patterns, and positive messages. Available in a relaxed, easy fit style, the t-shirt comes in a black and a white option and will retail for $35.

The Dim Mak “Stop Asian Hate” capsule will be available for preorder from March 27th to April 2nd, 2021 online at dimmakcollection.com, and will ship in approximately 4 weeks. Proceeds from the capsule will go towards Stop AAPI Hate.
