0Tricia O’Kelley On Her New Film “Donny’s Bar Mitzvah,” Future Projects, Her Chicago Past & More
For the new film Donny’s Bar Mitzvah, writer/director Jonny Comebacks takes audiences on a timewarp back to 1998, where sex, drugs and a dysfunctional family surround a boy’s entrance to manhood, as seen through the lens of a hired videographer. The raunchy comedy will be available March 23, 2021 on iTunes and Amazon Prime Video. Great premise aside, Donny’s Bar Mitzvah features an excellent cast including John DeLuca (the Teen Beach Movie franchise, Spree), Tricia O’Kelley (The Mick, The New Adventures of Old Christine), Noureen DeWulf (Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past, Anger Management), Wendy Braun (Atypical), Danny Trejo (Machete) and Steele Stebbins (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).
The aforementioned Tricia O’Kelley began her acting career in commercials. In the 1990s, O’Kelley founded a resource center for aspiring actors in Chicago that provided workshops, career consultations and seminars. Her television career kicked off as of the late 1990s, and her credits include Frasier, Two And A Half Men, Everybody Loves Raymond, Gilmore Girls, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The New Adventures Of Old Christine and The Mick. Within the film world, O’Kelley notably starred in and executive produced the acclaimed 2009 independent film Weather Girl.
