Amber Donoso Unveils New Single ‘Candela’

In her latest release, Amber continues to showcase and refine the Latin-inspired sound that has come to define her music over the past year.

Following on from the explosive ‘Cheer You Up’, ‘Candela’ is a bilingual hybrid of reggaeton, R&B and pop that brings together the finest elements of each genre, while injecting a dose of Amber’s radically unique personality.

Written specifically from a female perspective, Amber has aimed this track at empowering women to find power in their sexuality while showcasing the strength of femininity.

This latest offering sees Amber fully embrace her Latin American influences, vocalising in Spanish over an electrifying dembow beat that’s certain to be blasted in clubs across both continents in summer 2021. Produced by famed engineers Daniel Tenorio and Ricardo Quintero, responsible for some of the biggest hits in pop and reggaeton over recent years, ‘Candela’ is influenced by artists as diverse as Bad Bunny, Selena, Natti Natasha and Gwen Stefani.

Dynamic, contemporary, emotive and sensual, this latest single embodies Amber’s approach to music while providing us with a tantalising glimpse of what to expect from the artist as the year progresses.

“I’d say “Candela” is a perfect representation of my Latin roots. Every part of this track is infused with the passion and sexiness of the Latino culture. – says Amber.

A naturally talented vocalist and songwriter, Amber was raised in Britain but frequently travelled between London and Chile throughout her formative years, developing a passion for both cultures that you can hear in her eclectic fusion of reggaeton and R&B. After making a name for herself in the worlds of fashion and modelling, Amber continued to pursue her passion for music, drawing on artistic influences from the UK and North America while remaining deeply influenced by the language of Spanish, the rhythms of South America and the sounds of reggaeton.

“Whether it’s writing songs or performing on stage, music gives me an unbelievable feeling of freedom, lightness and adrenaline. It’s hard to put into words.
