Bobblehaus Releases “Stop Asian Hate” T-Shirt Capsule – Donating Proceeds to UA3

Bobblehaus is the regenerative and genderless fashion brand founded by two Chinese-American women – Ophelia Chen and Abi Lierheimer – both of whom root their work from their multicultural backgrounds, unique identities, and mission to build positive connections through fashion. The brand is set to release a limited-run “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt capsule available for pre-order on April 15, 2021, with proceeds being donated to UA3, an Asian-American founded nonprofit organization and the first food bank to open in Chinatown, NYC.

“The graphic on our Bobblehaus “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt was created as a symbol of dominance and power that we’re taking back as women of Asian-American heritage. Our vision and our identities are in our hands now, quite literally. It is our responsibility to use our voice, our brand, and ultimately our platform, to support the Asian-American community. These people include our best friends, families, and the greater AAPI community. For me, that support means designing and creating goods that can benefit the charities and foundations in place that take care of these local communities.” – Abi Lierheimer, co-founder and creative director of Bobblehaus.

Screen printed and made-to-order in Brooklyn, NY, the Bobblehaus “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt represents what the brand’s co-founders have seen their entire lives – as depicted through the woman holding the eyes in the t-shirt graphic – but is only now coming to light with AAPI related hate crimes. With the words “Stop Asian Hate” tattooed from the woman’s thighs to her boots; this symbolizes the hate and racism the co-founders wear as both a physical trait and an emotional identity. The lioness she stands with embodies the majesty, strength, courage, and justice needed to battle the racism and violence the AAPI community faces today and every day.

The UA3 food bank is a charitable institution close and personal to the brand, with Bobblehaus co-founder and CEO, Ophelia Chen, a regular volunteer. UA3 created the Community First Food Pantry in the wake of the pandemic to combat food insecurity in populations most affected and often overlooked, including racial minority groups, domestic violence survivors, seniors, and undocumented immigrants.

The Bobblehaus “Stop Asian Hate” t-shirt will retail for $38 and will be available for pre-order on April 15, 2021 exclusively at bobblehaus.com, and will ship within 2 weeks.
