Rhino On IMPACT Wrestling’s “Rebellion” PPV, Non-Wrestling Projects, Detroit & More

IMPACT Wrestling has started off 2021 strong, and that hype continues with April 25th’s Rebellion pay-per-view. IMPACT’s next pay-per-view is set to make history as All Elite Wrestling’s World Champion Kenny Omega will be taking on IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann in a “Title Vs. Title” match, as featuring commentary from Mauro Ranallo. Meanwhile, IMPACT itself — which airs on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM CST, as preceded by the Before The Impact program and followed by the IMPACT In 60 program — is regularly the highest-rated show on the AXS TV network.

Another big match on the Rebellion card is the 8-man tag match where Chris Sabin, Eddie Edwards, James Storm and Willie Mack will be facing Violent By Design, as comprised of Eric Young, Deaner, Joe Doering and Rhino. The aforementioned Rhino has held numerous wrestling championships in numerous wrestling companies over the last 26 years. In fact, he has been seen on weekly, internationally-aired wrestling programming far more of his career than not, logging more TV time than the majority of today’s active wrestlers. He made his return to IMPACT in July 2019 in a big way, only surprising everyone and joining up with Violent By Design last month at Sacrifice.

On April 20, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Rhino via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond Rebellion, Rhino and I also discussed non-wrestling projects, work ethic, learning, career goals, his Michigan roots, and plenty more. More on Rhino and Rebellion is here, here, here and here.
