Superstar Wiz Khalifa Performs First Post-COVID Concert on the Las Vegas Strip
Early yesterday morning just past 2 a.m., multi-platinum Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated superstar Wiz Khalifa hit the stage at the iconic Draiâs Nightclub for what was the first full-length concert on the Las Vegas Strip since the state loosened COVID mandates. It was the Stripâs first live concert since early spring 2020.
The explosive sold-out performance electrified an audience of more than a thousand fans who packed the rooftop nightclub, located in the middle of the Strip at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Avenue at The Cromwell. The performance was part of Draiâs official grand reopening celebration, which continues tonight with a full-length concert by Grammy-award winning artist, Future. Both performances kick off the return of Draiâs LIVE, the nightclubâs groundbreaking live music series.
Khalifa, a multi-platinum Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated artist, is best known for his Grammy-nominated album, âBlacc Hollywood.â His accolades include BET Awards, Billboard Music Awards and Teen Choice Awards. A frequent performer at Rolling Loud Festival, Khalifa has collaborated with numerous worldârenowned artists, including Travis Scott, Gucci Mane and Lil Baby.Â
âWe’d looked forward to this weekend for well over a year and it was thrilling to bring live music back to The Las Vegas Strip with a sold-out Wiz Khalifa concert at 2am this morning,â said Dustin Drai, vice president of entertainment and marketing at Drais Beachclub, Nightclub and After Hours. âDraiâs LIVE, our unprecedented concert series, continues tonight with Grammy-winner Future, making this weekendâs grand reopening not only an unforgettable party but also one for the Vegas record books.â
