Luh Kel is the newest R&B player to rise from St. Louis, but he’s no rookie. His destiny was etched in stone at the age of two, when the young Turran Coleman hit his first note. From that point, it’s been nothing but net for the 18-year-old, who was drafted to Cinematic Music Group in early 2019. Luh Kel subsequently released his Billboard charting breakout single, “Wrong,” in early April, all seemingly effortless. Kel has captured the attention of the masses at the height of his youth with a string of bouncy, sing-along bangers for Gen-Z. In March 2019, a dance challenge centered around “Wrong”— produced by Jonnyshipes,11vn & BubbagotBeatz — began making its rounds on Tik Tok and Instagram. After a few months, a combined 2.3 million Tik Tok posts were created by fans who couldn’t pass up the chance to mimic Luh Kel—his contagious hooks and charismatic vocals are undeniable. This success lead to Kel completing his first nationwide tour supporting breakout Chicago rapper, and 2020 XXL Freshman cover recipient, Polo G. The 19 city tour began in Kel’s hometown of St. Louis MO, playing venues of 1500+ capacity.

In 2020, Kel followed up his massive success from the previous year with an even bigger sophomore project in L.O.V.E., Kel’s second full-length release on Cinematic. The campaign saw Luh Kel, “blossom into a full-fledged star (Billboard),” and catapulted him to a new level of stratosphere as he set a new standard for his industry peers in the genre. “Feen” featuring Trippie Redd appeared on the Deluxe version of L.O.V.E. and continues to gain into 2021.
