After bringing home the gold at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics with the USA Basketball team, Damian Lilliard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A. releases his highly anticipated fourth studio album Different On Levels The Lord Allowed on all streaming platforms. His last album Big D.O.L.L.A. dropped in 2019 well before a global pandemic shut the world down and racial tensions hit a fever pitch in the U.S. This new project will be Dame’s most personal album to date and is reflective of the rapper’s current view on his life and the circumstances that surround him. With features from some of Hip-Hop’s most iconic artists like Lil’ Wayne on “Right One”, Q-Tip on “Meditate”, and Snoop Dogg on “Kobe”, as well as today’s hottest artists like Blxst on “Overnight” and “We The Ones”, this is sure to become a defining and pivotal album in Dame’s rap career. Never forgetting where he comes from, the track “Home Team” acknowledges his closest friends and family who have supported him along the way, and the upbeat viral track “For Me” is the perfect anthem leading into the final weeks of the summer.

In early July Dame was featured on the feel-good track “About That Time” from the Space Jam: A New Legacy Soundtrack with fellow Bay Area rappers G-Eazy, P-Lo, and White Dave. Right before clinching the Gold in Tokyo, Dame was able to give his fans a sneak peek of what his album had to offer when he unexpectedly dropped “The Juice” with fellow Oakland native Jane Handcock. The music video for the single garnered over 450k views in just over a week. Simultaneously with today’s album drop, the music video for the lead single “We The Ones” featuring Blxst & Tree Thomas was also released.

When asked about his latest project, Different on Levels The Lord Allowed, Dame stated, “My musical journey has been special. I feel like it’s my best project to date and I think that people will start to respect me as an artist more with this one. Hopefully, they’ll see that I’m really a rapper and I take this seriously. I’m not just an athlete trying to do music. I’m excited for people to hear it and I hope everyone enjoys it.”

Different on Levels The Lord Allowed is sure to resonate with Hip-Hop fans and music lovers everywhere. Experience the music for yourself by streaming it on your preferred platform or by visiting www.damedolla.com.
