Herman Moore On Co-Founding Golden Grooming, Team 84, Success As An Entrepreneur, Detroit & Diamond Dallas Page

A 4-time NFL Pro Bowler who played 12 seasons in the NFL, Herman Moore is an all-time great in the football world. A 3-sport athlete prior to making it into the NFL, Moore also excelled in basketball and track & field before finding success with the football program at the University Of Virginia. 2002 was Moore’s last season in the NFL, wrapping with the New York Giants after 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions, and he has since been inducted into multiple hall of fame institutions over the last decade.

But football has only proven to be one of Herman Moore’s areas of success. He is the owner and CEO of Team 84, LLC, a certified MBE holding company, which owns and operates Team Business Solutions, Team 84 Marketing and Team 84 Staffing. Team 84, LLC and its subsidiaries operate out of 12 offices in 5 states, 4 countries and are Minority Business Certified. A Crain’s Detroit Business “40 under 40” honoree in 2003, Moore serves as a member of the Virginia Athletics Foundation Board of Trustees at the University Of Virginia and is a founder of the Tackle Life Foundation. Moore additionally serves as an ambassador for Henry Ford Health System’s Game On Cancer campaign, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit 2020 Red Kettle Campaign Corporate Chairperson, and as a board member for the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation. And that is not all he has going for him.

Herman Moore is also a co-owner of Golden Grooming, a men’s skin and hair care company. This brand is full of pure and potent products, as targeting luxurious beard, face, hair and body care for black men and other men of color. The products are all-natural and crafted with essential oils and plant extracts that moisturize, heal, protect and cleanse. Also, for every product purchased, a product is donated to young black men in underserved communities. In addition, the company works with big companies and organizations who want to donate large quantities of product to community organizations, and they will make a “twin” donation for every bottle or item purchased.

On August 26, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Herman Moore via Zoom, as embedded below. Besides Golden Grooming, we spoke about Team 84, his transition from football to entrepreneurship, Detroit, hobbies away from work, and whether or not he — as NFL Alumni — has ever encountered Diamond Dallas Page. More on, well, Moore can be found here, here and here.
