Sustainability Highlighted at Stockholm Fashion Week

Stockholm Fashion Week which wrapped over the weekend featured talented young designers who finally had the chance to present their newest creations after a long period of uncertainty.

This year, sustainability was the main focus with the Swedish Fashion Association’s commitment to making this a large component of SFW as it is such a critical conversation to have in our industry. Setting up the SFW Sustainability Hub in Stockholm’s city center, brands and companies had the chance to present and discuss business models focused on creative solutions and responsible fashion consumption like renting, swapping, remake, redesign, and recycle.

Designers who participated this year reflected these values in their creations and practices, from Stand Studio utilizing sustainable materials like vegan leather to ATP Atelier prioritizing smart and lasting craftsmanship to House of Dagmar sourcing certified, organic, recycled, regenerated, and animal friendly materials.
