Rising R&B Singer/Songwriter ZAKU Releases Innovative Visual for “Can’t Control”

Rising R&B singer/songwriter Zaku releases new visuals to his high-energy single, Can’t Control out now on all streaming platforms. Zaku has been most known for featuring on Jay Blaze’s single, “Where You Been,” which gained rotation on popular radio stations such as Power 105.1, Shade 45, Hot 97 and was nationally syndicated throughout America & Europe.  The release also gained hundreds of thousands of streams after featuring on dozens of Spotify playlists, including “Discover Weekly” & New Music Manila.

“With Can’t Control, I felt it was time people saw me dance,” says Zaku. “I had enough pressure from my Filipina mom, a dancer herself back in the 90s. So I told my team if I was going to dance, I wanted to make a statement with it.”

Zachary Noddin, better known as Zaku, is a singer/songwriter from the Philippines, currently based in Los Angeles. He grew up the second of four children, spending much of his childhood in Tokyo due to his father’s work in international business. Zaku started pursuing music more actively in 2018. Around the same time, he started working with Jay Blaze and soon after signed to Blaze’s indie record label, Global Sound Music Group.

At the start of the 2020 COVID pandemic, Zaku released his second EP, “Younger Yesterday”. Beyond the further elaboration of his story – that he impressively portrays through his witty and savvy songwriting – his growth and development sonically, would only be evidence of his upward trajectory. The project would include, standouts, “On My Way” and title track “Younger Yesterday”, both garnering 200k streams respectively. He stayed busy through the global crisis, and quickly followed up his release with a 3rd EP, “Speak Your Language”. The title track showcased his global background, with a feature from Chilean artist, Constanza, including a verse in Spanish.

At the end of the 2021 summer, with 3 projects under his belt, Zaku released his debut album. “Roll The Dice” featured 16 songs and was accompanied by a music video for each song on the album. The music videos were unveiled in a 30-day rollout by Global Sound Music that saw a music video a day for a month, by either Zaku or Blaze. With the opening up of travel, and live shows, Zaku is currently preparing for an international promo tour with fellow label mate Jay Blaze.
