The Face Behind Privé Porter, Michelle Berk, Graces the Cover of Forbes France

Michelle Berk, the legendary entrepreneur who is the face of Privé Porter, the number one reseller of Hermes Birkin bags globally, appears on the cover of Forbes France’s Autumn 2021 issue, Moneybags. While Privé Porter has become a household name amongst luxury bag collectors with a client list that includes Cardi B., Paris Hilton, and Kris Jenner, Berk has completely transformed the game of exclusivity through her side venture, Moneybags x MB. Through Moneybags, Berk has been offering one-of-a-kind customized Birkin bags encrusted with Swarovski crystals. The fashion-savvy businesswoman is seen holding a bag embellished with ruby red and black crystals over a lipstick print from her customized Birkin collection on the cover.

In the issue, Berk delves into the story of Privé Porter and how she grew her business to become the go-to source to buy rare Birkin bags for many celebrities. Initially, there was no brick-and-mortar store, and the company sold most of its bags through Instagram, connected with buyers on WhatsApp, and set up various pop-up shops. Privé Porter officially opened up its first store back in November 2020. Berk mentions in her interview that the company now makes $2 million on average within a month in revenue.

Berk also goes into more detail about her new business venture, Moneybags. Privé Porter’s first custom piece was a pink Birkin bag covered in 60,000 Swarovski crystals exclusively designed for Paris Hilton in 2018. Berk soon realized that she could cater to a niche market of the ultra-wealthy and hyper-luxury collectors who would love to own their own distinctive Birkin customized by artisans. Ever since the word got out of this service, the waitlist for a custom bag has been expanding.
