Trayce Chapman Announces Upcoming Release of ‘Contraband 3’

Hip-hop artist Trayce Chapman is entering the year with a new album release, Contraband 3, on March 3, 2022. Contraband 3 is making a solid appearance to follow Contraband 2, released in 2017. The sixteenth track album consists of his recent releases “The Winds” and “NASA,” which he dropped in 2021, each with an official music video.

Trayce has always had a hand in his creative direction, building eye-catching visuals and artwork that creates a story. Back better than ever, Trayce will also be releasing an official music video for his track “Olive Street” on March 3, 2022. Rapping about what happened in his life on 23rd and Olive street, sitting on the porch with his brothers, witnessing the unwanted, and going to the same high school that Chauncey Billups used to ball at, the video speaks for itself.

When asked what the video represents, Trayce said, Olive street is the story of my teenage years and the dangers that came with living on the street we did, but it never felt dangerous back then just felt like home. Mentions of my close friends Dominique and Brett in the hook felt like a tribute to them for being my partners through the madness. What a time.

Through the animated graphics and cartoon-inspired vision, Contraband 3 is not only an album but a narrated series of Trayce’s life. Trayce takes his listeners on a ride starting with high energy in “Me vs. Myself 3.0” and closes the album with acoustic guitars and melodic beats in “Flights to Atlanta” and “Tread.”

Continuing to build an even bigger name for himself in the Mile High City, Trayce Chapman has already kicked the year off with a show performance in Los Angeles and Denver, including opening up for the Nigerian American Rapper, Wale.
