Chicago Artist Yung Gwapa Drops Off New Song “Jugg”

Yung Gwapa is an artist to be on the lookout for this year. The Chicago native is dedicated to furthering not just his musical career, but also the rap game and is coming to take his rightful throne. Yung Gwapa’s newest power play, the release of his track “Jugg,” ended his three-year hiatus and marks his return coming back strong as a rapper this year and showing people that he’s not here to play. 2022 is poised to be a big one for this artist, and if “Jugg” is any indication of what we can expect from him, then audiences are in for a treat.

“Jugg” is a trap anthem that certainly puts Yung Gwapa on the map and keeps the momentum going for his music career. It’s a catchy new single with an upbeat vibe that listeners can play anywhere. The single showcases his talents in a way that audiences have yet to see, and leaves listeners wanting and expecting more from him.

He got his artist name “Yung Gwapa” based on a life-changing childhood event.

“My father died and left me a lot of money, like $200k,” he said. “And everybody in the neighborhood started calling me Gwap.”

Yung Gwapa is more than just an artist as well — he’s also a businessman. He currently has an apparel company called Richigh The Brand, and he manages his own label BLACK HEART Music Group, which includes emerging musician GSambo. Yung Gwapa is a qualified executive with ambitions to advance his profession.

When asked about why he made the decision to pursue music as a career, Yung Gwapa answered that it was because he was always into writing in school.

“I used to write poetry in middle school, then I turned my poetry into rap,” he said. “I was in a group of three in Chicago, and I was the only one who kept going.”

His continued work ethic has paid off in a way that has resulted in cultivating a real audience and following. Some of his musical influences include: P Diddy, Gucci Mane, Nipsey Hustle, and Young Dolph. These individuals could be compared to how Yung Gwapa plans to move his career forward in the future as not only an artist, but as an executive.

Yung Gwapa is currently working on a 25-episode series starring members of the BLACK HEART Music group, as well as his upcoming album “NO,” which is set to drop in early April.
