CNCO On The New Single “Party, Humo Y Alcohol,” The Upcoming Disney Series “4 Ever,” Ricky Martin, Influences, KISS & More

Supported by ardent and avid audiences of millions around the world, CNCO — comprised of Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús — has not only staked a claim at the forefront of Latin music, but global culture as well. The multi-platinum-selling quartet have already accumulated 7 billion video views, 5 billion streams, and millions of tickets sold across multiple continents in less than a decade of existence. In addition, the group has scored awards from the following institutions: Latin American Music Awards, Premios Juventud, Billboard Latin Music Awards, Premio Lo Nuestro, and Premios Tu Mundo. And that is beyond all the big tours and TV appearances.

The latest single from CNCO is “Party, Humo y Alcohol.” The track, which displays the progression of the group’s music with a new sound, was released alongside the music video that features high-fashion, stunning visuals. The single was written by CNCO with Hv and Kairo La Sinfonia, who also produced the track. It is a followup to last year’s Déjà Vu studio album, and precedes CNCO’s upcoming appearance on the Disney mini-series 4 Ever. Meanwhile, you never know where CNCO will pop up as collaborators, as their non-album credits include recordings alongside Wisin, Becky G, Little Mix, Prince Royce, Meghan Trainor, Sean Paul, PrettyMuch, Ana Mena, Rio Roma, Leslie Grace and Ozuna.

On March 3, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with all 4 members of CNCO via Zoom, as embedded below; Richard Camacho, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús were live in the room, while Erick Brian Colón dialed in via phone. More on CNCO can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
