Mack Wilds Tackles The Rollercoaster Of Love In Music Video For “Simple Things”

GRAMMY Award-nominated singer & acclaimed actor Mack Wilds returns with the visual for “Simple Things” his first new music video in 4 years via The Ninety-Five Percent/Platoon!

As what seems like a romantic meal turns sour, a couple’s night out has Mack and his partner rehashing every moment in their relationship in hopes to help each other remember the simple things that made them fall in love in the first place! Being no stranger to giving fans compelling story driven music videos; “Simple Things” directed by Greg Cally (After Hours, Black Market with Michael K. Williams) continues Mack’s signature cinematic style perfectly capturing the lyrics of the soulful track.

Drawing inspiration from the Black Mirror “Striking Vipers” episode starring Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Beharie; Mack had this to say when discussing the video “Working on anything with people you love creates magic. Having my brother Greg Cally direct this was everything. I pray you guys enjoy this as much as we enjoyed making it.”

“Simple Things” follows a successful fall 2021 run for Wilds, which saw him star alongside O’Shea Jackson Jr, Quvenzhané Wallis, and more in the Apple TV+ original series SWAGGER.  The critically-acclaimed drama, which is inspired by Kevin Durrant’s real life journey in youth basketball as well as executive produced by the NBA megastar, was created by Reggie Rock Bythewood known for his work on Shots Fired, A Different World, New York Undercover and Notorious. In addition to making his Broadway debut with a leading role in the history making production of Thoughts Of A Colored Man alongside Luke James, Dyllón Burnside, Da’Vinchi and more!

Offering just a small sample of what Mack Wilds has in-store for fans this year, “Simple Things” ushers in a new musical statement for the acclaimed entertainer. Proving that sonically and lyrically, Wilds has something to say and the music world should definitely be paying close attention!
