Levi Zadoff and Dead Hendrix Team Up in New EP, ‘Dead Summer’

Los Angeles pop-punk artist Levi Zadoff and Ottawa punk newcomer Dead Hendrix have released a five-track conceptual album titled “Dead Summer.” Unceasing in its delivery, this EP conveys the story of the immense loss that the people had to suffer due to the global pandemic. “Dead Summer” is emblematic of a larger problem the world faced during COVID, be it people losing their friends and family or the worsening of drug abuse. Using the pandemic as inspiration, “Dead Summer” converts the feelings of loss into captivating melodies and features relevant songwriting, compelling angst-fueled vocal performances, irresistible hooks, engaging melodies, and outstanding musicianship. “Dead Summer” brings to life the duo’s acclaimed distinctive punk fusion sound, with experimental pop-punk and rap-rock sensibilities, in collaboration with up-and-coming producers IOF (Future, Paris Shadows), Yago Beats, SPLASHGVNG (Lil Peep, Sewerperson), and Imani Beats. The EP begins with a simple song titled “Don’t Think It Could Get Much Better.” As it progresses, it becomes more compelling and exciting to listen to. The duo did an outstanding job of incorporating melody, edge, counterculture, and relevance into this project.

Both talents are focused on achieving success on a global scale within the industry of music. Levi Zadoff creates popular music by drawing from a wide range of lyrical influences and his own life experiences. He believes that music is one of the most efficient ways of communicating and expressing oneself creatively. Puns, metaphors, unique melodies, and psychedelic samples drive his sound. Levi Zadoff is known to integrate pop, punk, rock, and rap elements in his music. He has received 10 million streams on Soundcloud and headlined many shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Ottawa native Gavin Kratt, better known by his stage name Dead Hendrix, is a punk and rap artist. He has been writing music ever since he was a kid, and his music basically focuses on intense subject matters, such as drug abuse, heartache, insecurity, and tragedy. That’s the reason his fans find it easy to connect to his music easily. He does music not to amass fortune or fame but rather to express the passion that drives him.

“Dead Summer” is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Youtube. You can follow Levi Zadoff and Dead Hendrix on their social media handles to stay updated on their upcoming projects.
