Luck Delivers Debut EP ‘It Wasn’t Luck’

Powerhouse singer and conscious jewelry designer Luck delivers her debut EP It Wasn’t Luck alongside short-film music visual for lead single “Don’t Sweat”. Following a string of powerful singles this year, It Wasn’t Luck fuses an eclectic list of genres into her own mascara-smeared style exploring her inner galaxy with decadent prose that rings with affirmations of acrylic self-healing.

“‘It Wasn’t Luck’ is the outcome of affirmations, prayer, and perseverance. The ultimate awareness of your power.” – Luck

I’ll say this about Luck who is a totally new artist to me…she’s different and has a HUGE sound…we’ll be talking about her for quite some time I think! ~ JD

The accompanying visual for “Don’t Sweat,” co-directed alongside her label CEO Justin Smith, is a cinematic and performative experience that preaches strength and resilience in the face of adversity. It offers up all the same magnetic energy that Luck crafted into the song itself.

“Every song was inspired by my battle in stepping into my divinity. My godly design is what has always led me. And saved me, truly, in the end from the feelings that my humanity carried. Whether that was inadequacy, fear or doubt over what was written over my life. Like me, there’s a million people that look like they have it all together… but when they take off their clothes and all that makeup there are mad scars. I made it through all that. But there are so many who haven’t. These songs are for the radical heart; the radical thinkers and dreamers,” explains Luck

Connecticut-born, NY-bred, & LA-based singer/songwriter Luck has undoubtedly pioneered her own unique fusion of R&B, hip hop, pop, and rock & roll. She is also the founder/designer of the bold and elegant unisex jewelry brand F.O.P. (For Other People | For Our People) which celebrates all humans.

The burgeoning songstress currently works with Anderson Paak’s managing partner of OBE/ Adrian Miller, who has helped discover and develop artists like .Paak, Free Nationals, Mereba, Poo Bear, and more. She is also the first artist on Boosted Records (distributed by WMG/ADA), a joint venture by Radar Pictures CEO Ted Field (co-founder of Interscope Records), and film producer / Radar Pictures Partner Justin Smith, whose goal is to work on music-driven films.

Luck has been featured in VICE, PAPER MAGAZINE, Hypebeast, Complex, NOTION, Galore, and FLAUNT Magazine – effortlessly curating and carving out a culture of music and fashion through her own lens. Her alternative sound and affirming messaging are a comfort to those still discovering themselves, as she uses her music to document her journey of self-growth and healing.
