03 Greedo is Back With Fire New Single ‘Drop Down’ Feat. KenTheMan
This is a new artist for me but checking his history, 03 Greedo has never wavered in his mission to flood the streets with his iconic brand of West Coast Rap, and today he’s back with a new single today titled, “Drop Down,” featuring Houston stunner, KenTheMan. The track finds Greedo twirling a melodic hook over atmospheric flutes and hi-hats, spitting a swift verse that evokes his trademark “creep music,” setting the stage for Ken to come in and talk her shit on the second verse.
This cut is the latest from Greedo’s upcoming tape, Free 03, produced entirely by LA beatsmith and frequent collaborator Mike Free. Earlier in the year, he dropped “Pourin” ft. BlueBucksClan, an interpolation of the Mike Jones classic, “Flossin,” which will also find a home on the new project arriving very soon via Alamo Records. “Drop Down,” and Free 03 continue the momentum that Greedo has continued to build, even as he serves a prison sentence in Texas. Last year, Greedo released 03 Inna Key, a three-track EP home to “Calendar,” included by Passion Of The Weiss at #26 on their list of the 100 Best Rap Songs of 2021. In 2021, Greedo’s 2018 song “Substance” went viral on TikTok (over 500k video creations), prompting Wiz Khalifa to hop on the remix and launch the single to GOLD certification from the RIAA. Free 03 also continues Greedo’s line of collaborations with high-profile producers, including 2020’s Load It Up Vol. 01, a collaboration with RonRonTheProducer, 2019’s Netflix & Deal, produced by Kenny Beats, and 2018’s Still Summer In The Projects, produced by Mustard and home to the GOLD-certified single “Trap House” ft. Shoreline Mafia.
