Eric Petersen On The AMC Series “Kevin Can F*** Himself,” Boston Accents, Cheap Trick’s Tom Petersson & More

Set in Worcester, Massachusetts, AMC series Kevin Can F**k Himself probes the secret life of a type of woman we all grew up believing we knew: the prototypical sitcom wife. Allison McRoberts (played by Annie Murphy, Schitt’s Creek) is married to self-centered and “lovable” cable guy Kevin (played by Eric Petersen, Kirstie), but after a dark discovery, Allison teams up with neighbor Patty O’Connor (played by Mary Hollis Inboden, The Righteous Gemstones) to take drastic measures to escape her confines and take control of her life. The innovative series implies that Allison has serious plans to kill Kevin.

The namesake lead character of Kevin Can F**k Himself is Kevin McRoberts, as played by the aforementioned Eric Petersen. Petersen has a strong theater background, having starred in national tours of Shrek The Musical and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, before finding his way into the television world. Credits beyond Kevin include As The World Turns, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Acting aside, Petersen is also the host of several podcasts.

On August 26, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Eric Petersen via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Bonifer and Kevin Can F**k Himself can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
