Traverse City, Michigan Artist C.G is Beating the Winter One Beat at a Time

C.G has lived his entire life in the cold state of Michigan. Nowadays, residing in Traverse City, he is an American rapper with BIG plans for the new year. Having grown up in different homes in Northern Michigan, where music is always being played, one may say it runs in the family. An example of this direct influence would be his grandfather ‘Jack’ having constantly singing Johnny Cash around him. Coincidentally enough “Ring of Fire” was the first song that C.G had learned about in Elementary music class.

Since then, C.G experimented with many other types of music, but it turned out to be the Hip-Hop style of rap that spoke most to him. In the past year alone his overall musical talents and ever-sculpting craft have greatly improved. One particularly standout difference would be his flow(s).

Having had hopes for a collaboration with Mac Miller (May he rest in peace.) as a teen, fast forward to today where we are all aware of the tragic passing of the young and influential artist which in turn means the collaboration won’t be able to take place here, perhaps in another life. On the other hand, Post Malone is very much alive and well and between the high-quality music he makes and his perceived genuine nature to the core point towards him being another person C.G pursues work with. Given the recent buzz surrounding him, it seems entirely possible for the fast-rising rapper to do just that; at least securing the feature.

Having not so long ago assisted the artist PALMER with their album “Lost Dreams” C.G is no stranger to collaborations and is happy to share the spotlight that he is beyond grateful to have on him in the first place. Having worked well with PALMER and seemingly doing so whenever they get in the studio together, there’s no telling the hit collaborations to come for C.G going into and through 2023 with more artists to come.
