Piccasso Black was born on January 25, 1989, at St.Joseph Hospital. His father, an Jamaican Entrepreneur, left his mother, a Jamaican nurses assistant, when Piccasso was a baby. After multiple run ins with the law as a young teen she moved with him to Newnan, Georgia, south atlanta where the family lived in a middle classes home, never needing for anything but Piccasso eager to make a name for his self took to the streets of atlanta ,where he eventually moved out and drop out of highschool. His mom eventually relocated to Jamaica shortly after retiring — Piccasso became a fugitive after another run-in with the law due to drug trafficking charges,he ran for 3 years then turned himself in, he was released from passaic county jail. Went to live with his father who also was retired and elderly — whenever he wasn’t in the streets or posting crazy videos Piccasso assisted with the care of his father who over time became weak,and a few years after eventually passed away.

Piccasso always had the skills to rap, but due to the dangerous fast paced environment he was distracted from the urge to chase it .During his time in Atlanta Piccasso passion for video editing,shooting and performing music grew and slowly heightened. His buzz began in the late 2000s on facebook and snapchat outlets where he recorded freestyles videos and funny skits with bahamian Artist Nassau, swisha P, Bucks, B.R & other talented underground artists. He also began to teach himself better video production and of course different rap cadences and styles. rapping first as P. Black then later to decoding the P by naming himself after Pablo Picasso his idol — “they used tell me I treat everything like a art project even if it was cooking they’d complain about my abstract method yet be satisfied at the bigger picture,so I just want wit Piccasso.”

He ran threw a number of part-time jobs as a young adult ,he was always tied to the streets and the unconventional way of making money,such as scamming, drug dealing & video productions while he honing his rapping skills, After re attending night school and graduating, Piccasso moved back to ATL for a few years still making videos for other artist and for himself,building his following via instagram piccasso returned to new jersey.

His debut singles, Hot Potato, Scammers and No Englo began to take soundcloud by storm growing his fan base and brand socially. See Piccasso always had numerous songs he created but due to lack of will he never released them leaving them to grow dated in his email.After the passing of his Father Piccasso began to release the tracks building up the demand for more of his creations.Picasso dropped a freestyle over a busta rhyme track titled “stu flo”. On Instagram which drew over 50 k views in a few months ,willie millionaire of the Atlanta based indie artist TV show, reached out to Piccasso and asked him to come to atlanta & meet him for a sit down. He went and they networked and made some agreements,While attending the sitdown with bucks Piccasso decided to shoot a series of videos which he edited on the greyhound bus headed back to nj. He deleted the original post and dropped the video on Instagram which did double the views ..Another video during his stay in Atlanta he posted a video alongside bucks freestyling on a porch with his jaw half wired which also grew to 100s of thousands..via Instagram. Later releasing a track called “unwritten letters” to soundcloud dedicated to his mother & late father, which attracted the attention of thousands. Currently Piccasso is still creating ,still traveling and still focused.. join him on his adventure to stardom.

He’s currently taking a break from music & chasing his dreams of entrepreneurship. With his 50% ownership of a jewelry company kenzymii diamond Imports & his shares in a advertising & marketing firm piccasso has been expanding his pallet.
