2nd Annual TASTE Spring Fundraiser

Meals On Wheels Atlanta (MOWA) recently hosted its annual spring fundraiser, TASTE, to support seniors in Metro Atlanta who are struggling with food insecurity. Held at MOWA’s venue next to their main offices in West Atlanta, TASTE is one of the most lively and unforgettable events of the year, featuring live music, dancing, delicious food, craft cocktails, and some of Atlanta’s top entrepreneurs, influencers, and philanthropists. The event was attended by CEO Charlene Crusoe-Ingram and Creative Director, Brandon Jenkins, while Tanya Sam served as the host, and Kash Doll was the special guest performer. The evening also honored eight Tastemakers, including Eunice Emir, Narcis Alikhani, Tajh Crutch, Kira Oliver, Justin Keys, Maegan Moguel, Alyssa Fagien, and Pinky Cole, all of whom embody the values of philanthropy and volunteerism in their personal and professional lives, with a total of 400 guests.

The theme of this year’s event, “A Palette of Purpose,” celebrated Atlanta’s thriving community of high-achieving young professionals who are passionate about giving back to their community. MOWA’s mission is to help home-bound seniors in Atlanta who are experiencing food insecurity by providing more than 1,800 nutritious and delicious meals every day through weekly meal deliveries, as well as operating an emergency food pantry, pet pantry, and home repair program. As a non-profit organization, MOWA relies solely on funding from its generous donors and sponsors, making philanthropy and volunteerism vital to their ability to serve disadvantaged seniors in Atlanta.

TASTE was a semi-formal event that brought together Atlanta’s diverse culinary scene, featuring nine food vendors, including Slutty Vegan, Delilah’s Everyday Soul, Bazati, C. Parks Catering, Canoe, Chai Yo Modern Thai, Dennis Dean Catering, and Endulge Cupcakes. Deleon Tequila and Tito’s Vodka provided craft cocktails throughout the evening. Overall, this private event was a spectacular celebration of Atlanta’s delicious cuisine and the dedicated individuals who support MOWA’s mission to help seniors in need.
