I Like” serves as the follow-up to Pote’s adventurous visual aid for “Too Many Times” off of Vol. 1 of his popular mixtape series. This time around, he effortlessly glides across slow-burning production, turning a melting pot of his influences into a throbbing heater. “I Like” captures the thrill, joy, and release of his three favorite things: money, women, and jewelry.

About Pote Baby:

Pote Baby is a kid from the South who is constantly dreaming big. The Savannah-born creative entrepreneur/recording artist started rapping back in 2016, performing under a different alias before he was eventually honored with his very own day from the city that raised him – appropriately titled Pote Day (September 12). Pote’s DIY approach to making music is taken straight from his upbringing. Strong willed and independent, he’s the firstborn child in his immediate family, powered by an inexplicable desire for meaning that translates to the purposeful flow we see today. Inspired by many of the legends before him, such as T.I., Gucci Mane, Jeezy, and Trick Daddy to name a few, Pote exudes the confidence of the veterans he looked up to. He’s a genuine creative in every sense of the word, armed with a multi-layered musicality that will resonate within hip-hop for years to come. In 2021, Pote’s breakthrough hit “In the Kitchen” (which first took form as a freestyle) cemented his position as an artistic force. His most-streamed single to date, the track is an embodiment of his tongue-in-cheek lyricism and proves that raw authenticity makes for captivating music. Pote has been putting in work outside the booth as well, landing partnerships with both SoundCloud and Reebok. The latter teamed up with Savannah’s son to give away sneakers at the inaugural Pote Day community festival in 2021. That same year, he launched his black-owned lifestyle brand, GUMBO. Since then, Pote has continued to create impact beyond visibility while paying homage to his southern roots. Not to mention, he was a supporting act on Earthgang’s Biodeghettable 2022 North American Tour. Now, Pote Baby is forging his own path in the industry and reimagining the future of independent music with Club Hous Music – a multidisciplinary company that houses a creative agency, media company, and record label.
