About One Tribe:

One Tribe is an artistic endeavor and global collective that encompasses the 3 pillars of Hubert Sodogandji’s identity – music, art and fashion. Better known as AMÉMÉ, the West African born, Berlin influenced and Brooklyn-based afro-house innovator has a primary prerogative as an artist to remind us that we are all One Tribe.

Originally conceived in the Fall of 2017, One Tribe initially launched as a curated event series. The concept of One Tribe expanded in 2020 into the boutique record imprint that showcased the seminal sounds that came to define AMÉMÉ. Quickly introducing innovative sounds and forward-thinking approaches to the genre, One Tribe quickly became an identifying home of Hubert’s coined brand of ‘AMÉMÉ house’.

All facets of One Tribe reflect the spirit of the diverse community that the brand is built upon. Bridging cultural gaps, the tenets of One Tribe are community, diversity, innovation, passion, and creativity. With storytelling at the heart of the label, each record released on One Tribe weaves a different tale inspired by the likes of family, history, heartbreak, culture, and more experiences from this life.

The 2020 release of the pivotal “PATCHIDO” preceded a meteoric rise for AMÉMÉ, seeing the project build unprecedented momentum through the entirety of 2021. 2022 dawned a new chapter for One Tribe, seeing the label officially relaunch and feature some of its most impactful releases to date. Across 2022 and 2023 One Tribe has become home to a new wave of talent, with some fresh faces making their debuts such as Bontan, enoo napa, NenaHalena, ARKADYAN, Nhii, Lazrusman, and more. Closing out 2023 placing #15 on Beatport’s afro-house label charts, One Tribe is well ahead in its’ rise to prominence as a power player in afro-house and beyond.

2024 sees the official return of One Tribe’s signature series of iconic events from where the collective built their name. The cornerstone of the One Tribe experience is set to make its mark at key venues in major cities around the world across 2024, with launch events to take place in London, Amsterdam and New York.

Music will forever be the foundation, and focal point of One Tribe – although as the concept evolves, the brand continues to explore new avenues for expanding its community-centric ethos into additional creative spaces within culture and the arts. Hubert Sodogandji continues to grow through development of his artistry – painting a promising picture for the future of his collective with a crystal clear message that we are all, in fact, One Tribe.
