Noodah05 ft. Hunxho – Pretty Girls Don’t Cry

Noodah is a secret weapon coming out of ATL’s Hip-Hop scene – he combines elements of R&B to create his own distinct sound, rapping through elastic melodies and delivering candid lyricism while maintaining the ethos of his city’s street rap scene. Noodah was recognized and signed by Lil Baby in 2020, and has since been working to set himself apart from the pack through a steady stream of releases (a project each year) and collaborations with heavy-hitters like Lil Baby himself (“Wild Child” – 25M+ Streams), Rylo Rodriguez (“Tameka” – 4M+ Streams) and Rob49 (“M’s Coming”), which all show off his unique take on the ATL sound and consistent vulnerability. He’s garnered over 200 Million streams in the process – his latest release is last year’s Bigger Now, a project that really displays his artistic progression over the years. For his new single “Pretty Girls Don’t Cry”, he’s linked up with fellow ATL artist Hunxho for a Valentine’s Day-themed single on which they each reflect on their dedication to a relationship and deliver some raw, soulful melodies – the perfect soundtrack for the occasion.

Hailing from the Southwest of Atlanta, Noodah05 and his music are a culmination of the hard-knock street rap and elastic melodies that make up his city’s diverse music scene. When he was only 19, after a cousin’s death and a brother’s incarceration, Noodah05 found himself alone, in a recording booth, turning pent-up heartfelt hurt into melodic musings for the first time. With hometown artists like Young ThugFuture and Lil Baby having a large impact on a young Noodah05, they informed the way he began to express the trials and triumphs of surviving the SWATS, adding his own intimately melodic touch. After a chance encounter with Lil Baby one day when he saw him back in their old hood, he asked the hometown hero if he would give his music a listen – he not only obliged, but was impressed by what he heard, and quickly signed Noodah05 to his record label. This year marks Noodah05’s fifth year as a rapper, who, in that short window of time, has seen the world while supporting Lil Baby on the IOU (“It’s Only Us”) Tour, accumulated more than 200 Million streams, and released five full-length projects – one each year. Each one serves as an updated testimony of someone in the process of transforming their life from a neighborhood star to an international name.
The latest of which, Bigger Now, is Noodah05’s best, most thoughtful and complete work to date. Not only does Bigger Now showcase an improving chemistry between Noodah05 and his go-to producer, multi-platinum hit-maker Chi Chi, but also his effortless knack for blending together his storytelling and melodic sound. Through a steady stream of tracks like his biggest song to-date, “Wild Child” featuring Lil Baby (25M+ Streams), “Tameka” (4M+ Streams) with Rylo Rodriguez and “Hold Ya Heart” (1.2M+ Streams), Noodah05 consistently mixes tidbits of past events, present feelings, and future motivations told through snappy flows, memorable hooks, and caption-ready lyrics delivered through a smooth harmonic cadence.
