Vic Mensa, 93 Boyz & The Delta Resumed Their Feed The Block Initiative with the Cast of Showtime TV Series “The Chi” over the Weekend

Grammy-nominated artist/activist Vic Mensa, along with his cannabis brand 93 Boyz and The Delta, continues to amplify their community initiative Feed the Block / Warm the Block at The Delta in Wicker Park. The initiative provides high-quality meals and winter apparel to the local unhoused population throughout the winter months. The program to-date has collected and distributed over 650 meals and 1000 winter clothing items since November, and will continue to serve the community through March. This past weekend, Vic Mensa, 93 Boyz and his castmates of TV “The Chi” passed out meals and warm clothes in Pilsen to the unhoused population and migrants. Cast members Jason Weaver, Luke James, Jacob Latimore. Cortez Smith and Hannaha Hall were all in attendance passing out warm meals, provided by a local black-owned restaurant, The Delta.

“Feed The Block is an initiative we’ve been doing through 93 Boyz, my cannabis company, since the onset of winter in Chicago. The cold months in this city can be brutal, exacerbating the already dire circumstances that thousands of unhoused people face in Chicago every year. By partnering with a local Black-owned restaurant called The Delta, we’ve been able to serve countless meals to those in need as well as provide warm clothing and supplies such as sanitary products, toiletries, etc. A primary pillar of 93 Boyz ethos has always been reinvestment into community; Feed The Block is one of our many ways of giving back.” – Vic Mensa
