Mayor Andre Dickens Kicks Off Render Day Announcement Happening with RenderATL

In a splendid happening, RenderATL recently brought the entire Atlanta tech community out for Render Day, to celebrate the exciting announcement of this year’s conference and concert, happening June 12th – June 14th at Americas Mart. The event, which took place at The Gathering Spot, brought together tech executives, community leaders, and influencers alike, to commemorate the exciting talent who will be featured at this year’s conference. As the doors opened, guests were greeted with custom RenderATL swag bags and t-shirts. Patron Tequila powered specially crafted cocktails themed after the tech industry. As guests networked, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens approached the stage to welcome everyone and speak on his excitement surrounding the RenderATL Conference and Atlanta’s Tech Week.

Mayor Dickens highlighted the importance of creating spaces in Atlanta for the tech industry to thrive, such as RenderATL, as Atlanta is on its way to becoming one of the top 5 hubs for technology in the country. RenderATL Founder and CEO, Justin Samuels, also welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for his conference growing in numbers since its inception to now expecting over 5,000 attendees this summer. Following the welcome speeches, Justin, Ryan Wilson (Co-Founder and CEO of The Gathering Spot), Barry Givens (Managing Partner at Collab Capital) and Avoilan Bingham (Investor/General Manager at Drive Capital, President of Atlanta Tech Week) sat for an intimate fireside chat, discussing both Atlanta Tech Week and RenderATL as well as the future of tech and A.I.

Black-owned organizations such as Techsgiving, Blacks In Technology, 100 Black Men of America’s Emerging 100, and Black Girls in Cyber showed support for the annual conference and set up vendor booths for attendees to learn more about each organization and spread awareness. RenderATL also surprised 5 lucky attendees with free passes for the RenderATL Conference.

This year, RenderATL is set to have cultural shifters like Shannon Sharpe, known for his legendary 14-season career in the NFL and his acclaimed podcast “Club Shay Shay” as the keynote speaker on organizational and executive leadership moderated by Revolt Media and TV CEO Detavio Samuels, Kelsey Hightower, Distinguished Google Engineer, developer advocate, and speaker as well as captivating talent such as DJ Pee .Wee (AKA Anderson .Paak), R&B star Rotimi, D Smoke, CoCo and Breezy, Kamaiyah and DaniLeigh.

This year’s conference featured over 5,000 attendees, 70+ partners, and 100+ keynote addresses, seminars, and workshops from trailblazers in artificial intelligence, software engineering, design, product and project management, tech leadership, and more. These experiences provided attendees with not only unparalleled insights into the latest trends and developments but had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of cutting-edge technologies and gain practical skills to drive success in their respective fields as well as a platform for employer recruiting with high career placement success rates.
