Hero The Band: “The law of attraction at its finest.”

Please introduce for me the members of Hero The Band…

Justin Barnett [Lead Guitarist, Vocals]

Jerramy Barnett [Bass Guitarist, Vocals]

Deej Barnett [Drummer, Vocals]

Nick Barnett [Keys, Vocals]

How did the four of you actually come together to form the group?

Deej Barnett: We are blood brothers, same mom and dad. We grew up singing together in church and simply just around the house, nothing serious. During our early teen years, we were involved in sports so we didn’t sing as much. In high school, we joined the chorus. In 2007, we formed a R&B group, Inseparable, which was our early stage of writing and composing music…Which led to the transition of “Hero The Band” in 2010.

Where do you all hail from? And, in having said that, growing up who all did/do you consider to be your strongest musical influences?

Jerramy Barnett: We hail from Decatur, Georgia. Growing up, we weren’t allowed to listen to rap or R&B, so some of our strongest musical influences came from Disney soundtracks; such as, Lion King Elton John “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” Mighty Ducks Queen “We Will Rock You,” also Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Boyz II Men, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Prince, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty, Kirk Franklin, Andre’ 3000, Rush, Lenny Kravitz, (The) Rolling Stones and U2.

How then would you all describe and/or define the style of music that you all create and perform?

Nick Barnett: Our style of music is uplifting, spiritual, heartfelt, which simply creates an emotional roller coaster through our live performances and also for our ‘Hero Nation’ believers.

Individually, what do each of you bring to the proverbial “table,” both personality and professional-wise, when it comes to the overall “vibe” and/or sound of Hero The Band?

Justin Barnett: We are equals in every aspect of our music on the stage and off the stage. We all write together, compose together, workout together; we truly are one unit. Over-standing the gift that God gave us, is our gift to give to the people that need it the most. It’s the wisdom of seeing the vision, believing in the vision and working to complete the vision — Hence, “the law of attraction at its finest.”

With that being said, where did the moniker Hero The Band originally derive from?

Jerramy Barnett: Well, everyone is born a “Hero,” a special star that travels from the universe of only the possible. Being your own unique self and not allowing the distractions of worldly fashion get you off track. When you stop battling yourself and accept who it is that God made you out to be, you then will awaken the King or Queen inside of you to over-stand that your power’s all limitless…”It’s your world, people, just live in it.”

What are your future plans and/or goals for sustaining longevity in music?

Nick Barnett: Continue to be servants of the people. Giving them entertainment in a way to where they can relate to our music in their everyday lives with honesty and truth.

Do each/any of you all have any other outside/additional aspirations, maybe even completely away from music?

Deej Barnett: Our aspirations are simply to be entrepreneurs all the way across the board.

To date, what has been your biggest career moment(s), at least thus far anyway?

Justin Barnett: Touring with Mother’s Finest, performing in front of 75,000 people in South Carolina, opening for Janelle Monae at the Peach Drop in Atlanta and just the entire ride; each day it’s something new.

Five or even ten years from now, where do you all see yourselves? And, as for the immediate, what’s next for Hero The Band?

Hero The Band…”In five or ten years,” will be a household name in every aspect.

…Hero The Band, our album entitled “Fathom” is set to release at the top of 2015, date TBA…Our single “Fool’s Gold” video release will be soon, with more life changing music and videos demonstrating our album.

Is there anything I left out or just plain forgot to mention?

We think you said everything…Until next time.

Any “parting” message(s) for our readers?

Don’t let the world tell you can’t do anything when it is yours to begin with. The world is full (of) mystery and people full of doubt. So, be all that you can be and never take “no” for an answer.
